“I love Loudstakk MIDI. Ron D has a way of capturing the essence of Metal grooves - that elusive Metal feel and groove that just can't be replicated by hand programming MIDI.
Loudstakk helps keep me inspired and creative and focused on the song itself.”

Karl Sanders (Nile)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves are great for inspiration and for jump starting ideas. The thing I find them most useful for though, is breaking out of old patterns by testing all kinds of different beats and rhythms against the same idea to find near infinite potential in every riff"

Ghul (Mayhem)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves provide the right amount of dynamics to make them sound more natural. Most other packs I've tried leave very small amount of dynamics.
While on the road - I like to load these MIDI Grooves into my session knowing they will satisfy my taste when composing"

Vanik (ex-Midnight)
“I purchased my first Loudstakk MIDI Groove pack and immediately spent the next couple of days almost effortlessly writing nearly 30 minutes worth of music. Integrating perfectly with my drum libraries of choice, it feels like writing with a real drummer… I guess because the grooves are all played by a real drummer!
Highly recommended for my fellow songwriters, Loudstakk products are inspiring!”

Jack Kosto (Seven Spires)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves are an essential part of my songwriting process.
Just drag and drop into your favorite DAW or standalone player, and you’re off to the races.
Real, modern drum sounds with that classic, old-school feel at your fingertips."

Kelly McLauchlin (Pessimist)

REAL GROOVES BY REAL DRUMMERS

NO PROGRAMMING, WRITE MUSIC
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves have been an essential part in my recent songwriting and pre-production for Fury of Five.
Although being the drummer, sometimes I don’t have time to set up all my recording gear to track a 45 second drum loop for a guitar riff and Loudstakk has been crucial in delivering the right kinds of drum parts for Fury’s riffs."

Mike Pollaro (Fury of Five)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves are a great tool. Been using them for 6 months or so – And these have become my go-to for getting natural sounding grooves and beats for capturing ideas and writing music. Great dynamics and just has the right overall feel. Would recommend these to anyone who writes music in Metal/Rock/Punk."

Gamle Erik (Carpathian Forest)
"Loudstakk is something I can't live without once I think about writing songs or even be on with some riff ideas. It just optimizes my work flow in a way that it's even funnier/faster and more practical to give birth to new killer tunes!"

Guilherme Miranda (DIETH)
"Loudstakk offers a countless amount of top notch quality drum MIDI grooves that do assist me a lot when creating new compositions. Literally they inspire me to write more and more.
Loudstakk is highly recommended for songwriters!"

Jan Mojdis (Alien Orchestra)

What is your approach to Death Metal drumming?
"To me, Death Metal drumming is all about serving the riff. It’s the relentless machine-gun pulse that locks in with the guitar and bass to drive the entire onslaught forward—especially in the faster material.
That said, Death Metal can take many forms. It can be stripped-down and raw, hyper-technical, chaotic, or surgically precise. With this pack, I aimed to cover all four approaches—giving you a toolkit that reflects the full spectrum of the genre’s drumming possibilities."
Which drummers inspired you?
"Pete Sandoval and Zbigniew "Inferno" Promiński have both developed highly distinctive styles that undoubtedly influenced my approach. Their commanding presence behind the kit is something I deeply respect. Dave Culross brings a different dimension—his ability to create space between hits while still keeping things busy is incredibly effective and often overlooked.
Of course, you can’t talk about Death Metal drumming without mentioning Paul Mazurkiewicz. His raw, chaotic, and pioneering style helped define the genre in its formative years.
From the more modern, technically-driven side of the spectrum, names like Alan Cassidy, Lord Marco, George Kollias, and Kevin Paradis are always in the back of my mind—especially when pushing tempos into the upper BPM range with precise, surgical execution."
How did the idea for a MIDI Groove pack come around?
"There are plenty of great MIDI packs out there for Death Metal—but I often found they felt too tied to the original songs they were designed for. Trying to break out new riffs with those grooves sometimes felt limiting, like you were stuck working around someone else's structure instead of building your own.
I also think there's a lot more to Death Metal drumming than just blast beats. Sure, they're essential—but groove, dynamics, and variation are just as important. That’s why I wanted to create a pack that covers a broad range of patterns, so you can spend less time programming and more time writing. And let’s be honest, most programmed beats get altered anyway.
This pack has a ton of variety—and yes, it includes plenty of blast beats. Maybe even too many. I actually ran out of names for them halfway through."
Who should use MIDI Groove packs?
"These grooves are built first and foremost as songwriting tools—meant to get ideas moving quickly without the grind of programming every beat by hand. Whether you're writing riffs, producing content, rehearsing for tour, or just jamming after work, the goal is the same: stay in the creative flow.
They're not meant to replace your drummer—but they will make a much more inspiring click track."

We update mappings from time to time, let us know which ones to add.
