“I love Loudstakk MIDI. Ron D has a way of capturing the essence of Metal grooves - that elusive Metal feel and groove that just can't be replicated by hand programming MIDI.
Loudstakk helps keep me inspired and creative and focused on the song itself.”

Karl Sanders (Nile)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves are great for inspiration and for jump starting ideas. The thing I find them most useful for though, is breaking out of old patterns by testing all kinds of different beats and rhythms against the same idea to find near infinite potential in every riff"

Ghul (Mayhem)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves provide the right amount of dynamics to make them sound more natural. Most other packs I've tried leave very small amount of dynamics.
While on the road - I like to load these MIDI Grooves into my session knowing they will satisfy my taste when composing"

Vanik (ex-Midnight)
“I purchased my first Loudstakk MIDI Groove pack and immediately spent the next couple of days almost effortlessly writing nearly 30 minutes worth of music. Integrating perfectly with my drum libraries of choice, it feels like writing with a real drummer… I guess because the grooves are all played by a real drummer!
Highly recommended for my fellow songwriters, Loudstakk products are inspiring!”

Jack Kosto (Seven Spires)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves are an essential part of my songwriting process.
Just drag and drop into your favorite DAW or standalone player, and you’re off to the races.
Real, modern drum sounds with that classic, old-school feel at your fingertips."

Kelly McLauchlin (Pessimist)

REAL GROOVES BY REAL DRUMMERS

NO PROGRAMMING, WRITE MUSIC
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves have been an essential part in my recent songwriting and pre-production for Fury of Five.
Although being the drummer, sometimes I don’t have time to set up all my recording gear to track a 45 second drum loop for a guitar riff and Loudstakk has been crucial in delivering the right kinds of drum parts for Fury’s riffs."

Mike Pollaro (Fury of Five)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves are a great tool. Been using them for 6 months or so – And these have become my go-to for getting natural sounding grooves and beats for capturing ideas and writing music. Great dynamics and just has the right overall feel. Would recommend these to anyone who writes music in Metal/Rock/Punk."

Gamle Erik (Carpathian Forest)
"Loudstakk is something I can't live without once I think about writing songs or even be on with some riff ideas. It just optimizes my work flow in a way that it's even funnier/faster and more practical to give birth to new killer tunes!"

Guilherme Miranda (DIETH)
"Loudstakk offers a countless amount of top notch quality drum MIDI grooves that do assist me a lot when creating new compositions. Literally they inspire me to write more and more.
Loudstakk is highly recommended for songwriters!"

What is your approach to Black Metal drumming?
"While Black Metal is often mistaken for being all about speed, I see it differently. To me, it’s about creating space — allowing the riffs and vocals to truly stand out. That’s why I keep my grooves intentionally simple, only introducing accent hits where they actually serve the music. Fills should flow naturally, never distract or overwhelm. And if you're playing a large kit, make full use of it — especially the toms — to add depth without losing focus.
Which drummers inspired you?
"I’m not shy to admit that the obvious influences—like Hellhammer and Fenriz—have played a major role in shaping how I approach this style. They helped define the foundation of Black Metal drumming, and it’s almost impossible not to echo some of what they’ve done. Tjodalv from Old Man’s Child also stands out to me; his ability to maintain groove while strategically spacing out hits gives those bigger accents a real impact. Another standout is Vainaja, the drummer of Vitsaus—his playing is focused and precise, yet still full of feel. He knows how to keep the groove alive without overplaying."
How did the idea for a MIDI Groove pack come around?
"I’ve often felt that most Black Metal groove packs miss the mark when it comes to capturing the core of the genre—or maybe my take on Black Metal just leans a bit different. Either way, I knew I had to sit behind the kit myself and approach the foundational elements from my own perspective.
The goal was simple: to give myself—and other songwriters—a ready-to-use selection of go-to grooves. No need to waste time programming drums from scratch. Just drag, drop, and get straight to writing—with maximum Satan and zero fuss."
Who should use MIDI Groove packs?
"These are songwriting tools first and foremost—designed to help you get your ideas down faster without the usual grind of drum programming. Whether you're a songwriter, content creator, touring artist, one-person band, hobbyist, or just looking to jam after a long workday, these grooves are meant to keep you moving creatively. They’re not here to replace your drummer—but they might just be a more inspiring metronome to practice with.
And for those who think MIDI isn’t trve or kvlt: it’s worth noting how many members of legendary Black Metal bands actually rely on MIDI grooves to sketch out their ideas. Don’t take our word for it—check the Artist page. You might be surprised who's in on the secret. 😉"
