Slow Doom Grooves, Shuffle Grooves, Sludge Grooves and more
“I love Loudstakk MIDI. Ron D has a way of capturing the essence of Metal grooves - that elusive Metal feel and groove that just can't be replicated by hand programming MIDI.
Loudstakk helps keep me inspired and creative and focused on the song itself.”

Karl Sanders (Nile)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves are great for inspiration and for jump starting ideas. The thing I find them most useful for though, is breaking out of old patterns by testing all kinds of different beats and rhythms against the same idea to find near infinite potential in every riff"

Ghul (Mayhem)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves provide the right amount of dynamics to make them sound more natural. Most other packs I've tried leave very small amount of dynamics.
While on the road - I like to load these MIDI Grooves into my session knowing they will satisfy my taste when composing"

Vanik (ex-Midnight)
“I purchased my first Loudstakk MIDI Groove pack and immediately spent the next couple of days almost effortlessly writing nearly 30 minutes worth of music. Integrating perfectly with my drum libraries of choice, it feels like writing with a real drummer… I guess because the grooves are all played by a real drummer!
Highly recommended for my fellow songwriters, Loudstakk products are inspiring!”

Jack Kosto (Seven Spires)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves are an essential part of my songwriting process.
Just drag and drop into your favorite DAW or standalone player, and you’re off to the races.
Real, modern drum sounds with that classic, old-school feel at your fingertips."

Kelly McLauchlin (Pessimist)

REAL GROOVES BY REAL DRUMMERS

NO PROGRAMMING, WRITE MUSIC
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves have been an essential part in my recent songwriting and pre-production for Fury of Five.
Although being the drummer, sometimes I don’t have time to set up all my recording gear to track a 45 second drum loop for a guitar riff and Loudstakk has been crucial in delivering the right kinds of drum parts for Fury’s riffs."

Mike Pollaro (Fury of Five)
"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves are a great tool. Been using them for 6 months or so – And these have become my go-to for getting natural sounding grooves and beats for capturing ideas and writing music. Great dynamics and just has the right overall feel. Would recommend these to anyone who writes music in Metal/Rock/Punk."

Gamle Erik (Carpathian Forest)
"Loudstakk is something I can't live without once I think about writing songs or even be on with some riff ideas. It just optimizes my work flow in a way that it's even funnier/faster and more practical to give birth to new killer tunes!"

Guilherme Miranda (DIETH)
"Loudstakk offers a countless amount of top notch quality drum MIDI grooves that do assist me a lot when creating new compositions. Literally they inspire me to write more and more.
Loudstakk is highly recommended for songwriters!"

Jan Mojdis (Alien Orchestra)
“Truly inspiring drumbeats.
I actually started a new band as soon as I tried them out in my DAW”

What is your approach to Doom Metal drumming?
"Doom Metal may sound slow and stripped-down—but that’s exactly what makes it so difficult to play well. Every hit counts. And the slower you push the tempo, the more exposed each stroke becomes. There’s nowhere to hide.
The real challenge lies in keeping the groove compelling while maintaining tight cohesion between each hit. It’s a constant balancing act between weight, space, and feel. Finding that sweet spot—where the groove breathes but still crushes—is the eternal pursuit of any Doom drummer.
Did I mention groove already? Yeah… it's tough. But when it locks in, it's deeply satisfying."
Which drummers inspired you?
"You simply can’t talk about Doom Metal drumming without mentioning Bill Ward. It’s self-evident. The groove, the dynamics, the sheer command he brings to the kit—it laid the groundwork for everything that followed. His playing doesn’t just keep time—it shapes the atmosphere.
Mark Lierly from Pallbearer also brings a unique touch to the genre. There’s a distinct sensitivity in his playing that gives the heaviness room to breathe.
And let’s not overlook Gas Lipstick—best known as the drummer for HIM, but his work in Hallatar and The Solitude shows he’s one of the most effective Doom drummers out there. He doesn’t just create size in the drum sound—he creates space in the song itself. That’s a rare and powerful quality."
How did the idea for a MIDI Groove pack come around?
"Anyone can throw down two notes every four bars and call it a Funeral Groove—but making this kind of disciplined, restrained drumming actually feel interesting is a whole other story.
To get it right, I had to sit behind the kit and create my own take on the style—one that speaks to fellow songwriters trying to capture that deep, slow-burning atmosphere without falling into lifeless repetition. Most other packs felt too busy for what this genre demands, and programming it from scratch never quite captured the right vibe.
So I built something that does—slow, deliberate, and full of weight."
Who should use MIDI Groove packs?
"These grooves were crafted as slow-burning songwriting companions—built to help ideas emerge naturally, without the burden of programming every beat by hand. Whether you're laying down monolithic riffs, tracking a demo soaked in reverb, or jamming under dim lights at the end of a long day, these rhythms are there to keep the atmosphere intact.
They're not here to replace your drummer—but let’s be honest: they’re a lot more inspiring than a cold, clinical metronome. Solid, deliberate, and grounded—just like the rhythm sections that shaped the heaviest moments in Doom."
