Loudstakk is officially building its own HQ, and I figured it was time to chime in on the process so far.
Back in 2022, my wife and I bought an acre of land with a farmhouse out in the countryside—about 30 minutes south of Detroit, on the Canadian side of the river.
Fast forward to winter 2025, and that old garage is now being transformed into our very own live room. With dimensions of 21x23x10 feet, it offers a solid room tone that’ll let us capture thunderous drums and blast guitar cabs at full volume—which, by the way, makes a huge difference when it comes to dialing in proper Impulse Responses.
It’s been a week into the build, and here’s what’s done so far:

It’s been a whole lot of blood, sweat, and probably more caffeine than any doctor would recommend—but it’s exciting. This space is being built to bring you the tools I wish I had when I was starting out, and the tools I needed when I got more serious about music.
Pairing this kind of creative space with modern tech means we can work with pro-level flexibility and unlimited studio time. And that’s a win for everyone.
