The Only Punk Songwriters Groove Pack You Need

“I love Loudstakk MIDI. Ron D has a way of capturing the essence of Metal grooves -  that elusive Metal feel and groove that just cant be replicated by hand programming MIDI.

Loudstakk helps keep me inspired and creative and focused on the song itself.”

Karl Sanders (Nile)

"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves are great for inspiration and for jump starting ideas. The thing I find them most useful for though, is breaking out of old patterns by testing all kinds of different beats and rhythms against the same idea to find near infinite potential in every riff"

Ghul (Mayhem)

"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves provide the right amount of dynamics to make them sound more natural. Most other packs I've tried leave very small amount of dynamics.
While on the road - I like to load these MIDI Grooves into my session knowing they will satisfy my taste when composing"

Vanik (Midnight)

“I purchased my first Loudstakk MIDI Groove pack and immediately spent the next couple of days almost effortlessly writing nearly 30 minutes worth of music. Integrating perfectly with my drum libraries of choice, it feels like writing with a real drummer… I guess because the grooves are all played by a real drummer!

Highly recommended for my fellow songwriters, Loudstakk products are inspiring!”

Jack Kosto (Seven Spires)

“Using Loudstakk Grooves really helps me catch inspiration quickly! I had a killer riff the other day, and needed to track it quick, and fast-forward a few weeks, and the grooves made it into the final arrangement. Can’t wait to see what they do next!”

Erik Gustafson (Adoration Destroyed)

REAL GROOVES BY REAL DRUMMERS

NO PROGRAMMING, WRITE MUSIC

"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves have been an essential part in my recent songwriting and pre-production for Fury of Five.

Although being the drummer, sometimes I don’t have time to set up all my recording gear to track a 45 second drum loop for a guitar riff and Loudstakk has been crucial in delivering the right kinds of drum parts for Fury’s riffs."

Mike Pollaro (Fury of Five)

"Loudstakk MIDI Grooves are a great tool. Been using them for 6 months or so – And these have become my go-to for getting natural sounding grooves and beats for capturing ideas and writing music. Great dynamics and just has the right overall feel. Would recommend these to anyone who writes music in Metal/Rock/Punk."

Gamle Erik (Carpathian Forest)

"Loudstakk is something I can't live without once I think about writing songs or even be on with some riff ideas. It just optimizes my work flow in a way that it's even funnier/faster and more practical to give birth to new killer tunes!"

Guilherme Miranda (DIETH)

"Loudstakk offers a countless amount of top notch quality drum MIDI grooves that do assist me a lot when creating new compositions. Literally they inspire me to write more and more.
Loudstakk is highly recommended for songwriters!"

Jan Mojdis (Alien Orchestra)

“Truly inspiring drumbeats.
I actually started a new band as soon as I tried them out in my DAW”

Mika Lagren (Nekrodawn)

What was your approach for this project?

Punk drumming laid the foundation for all Heavy Music drumming, and with the Loudstakk Punk MIDI Grooves, I aimed to strike the perfect balance: keeping it simple enough to hold the pocket, yet dynamic and engaging with hidden nuggets of creativity to keep things fresh and inspiring.

I wanted to capture the essence of Punk across all its eras and styles. From the raw energy of the
70’s pioneers like The Ramones and Sex Pistols, to the moody and atmospheric vibes of Post Punk with bands like Joy Division and The Cure, blending in a touch of New Wave along the way.

Moving into the intensity of 80s and 90s Hardcore, I drew influence from legends like Black Flag, Bad Brains, Agnostic Front, and Cro-Mags, while also including grooves inspired by more modern Hardcore acts like Comeback Kid, Have Heart, and Silverstein.

For the Ska influence, I wanted to span the spectrum, from the ska-punk of Operation Ivy to the polished grooves of bands like Goldfinger.

When it comes to Pop Punk, I aimed to cover everything—from the Fat Wreck Chords style of NoFX and Lagwagon, to the more mainstream sounds of Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy.

The Post Hardcore section brings grooves inspired by essentials like Fugazi, Underoath, and everything in between.

And of course, I couldn’t leave out Psychobilly, so you’ll also find some rumbling, high-energy grooves perfect for that genre’s unique vibe.

Which drummers inspired you?

I’ve always admired Mackie Jayson (Cro-Mags) for his ability to combine the most laid-back feel with a hard-hitting groove. I don’t know if I came close, but I sure gave it my best shot—haha!

When it comes to Punk drumming, you can’t overlook Marky Ramone. His right-hand precision and ferocity define the backbone of his grooves, and I did my best to capture that spirit in this collection.

And then there’s Adrian Young from No Doubt, who has one of the coolest backbeats around. I definitely tried to channel some of that energy into the Ska section. Whether or not it’s all the way there, I know his influence shaped the way I play, and it shows in these grooves.

How did the idea for a MIDI Groove pack come around?

After wrapping up the Metal Grooves, I knew I wanted to tackle Punk Grooves next. It took some time and planning to find the right moment and put together a solid approach for the project. Recording nearly 900 quality grooves isn’t exactly a walk in the park!

I can’t tell you how many emails I’ve received asking, “Metal is great, but can you do something that’s not all double-bass and blast beats?” Well, supply and demand finally met—and here they are!

Who should use MIDI Groove packs?

Songwriters, band members, content creators—basically anyone who finds their best inspiration striking when they’re alone in a room—this is for you.

If you’re on a time crunch and don’t want to spend hours creating a drum beat just to jam or write to, why waste time? You’re likely going to have a real drummer on the album anyway, right? Instead of over-editing a demo, grab grooves played by a real drummer and present something that’s ready to go to your bandmates.

It’s the perfect starting point, and I’m genuinely curious—how many hours will you save and how many songs will you create without ever repeating the same patterns twice?
