How to Install Loudstakk MIDI Grooves into EZdrummer 3

The simplest and most reliable method — based on real customer questions.

EZdrummer 3 reads standard MIDI extremely well, and because Loudstakk grooves are recorded in Toontrack’s exact mapping, everything works right out of the gate.
The only thing you need to do is tell EZdrummer where your MIDI lives — and the cleanest way to do that is with Linked Folders.

1. Unzip Your Loudstakk MIDI Pack

After downloading a pack such as:

• Loudstakk Thrash Metal MIDI Pack

• Loudstakk Black Metal MIDI Pack

• Loudstakk Ska Punk MIDI Pack

…unzip it and you’ll see a single main folder containing all the .mid files.

✔️ This is exactly how it’s supposed to be.

❌ There are no Soundstakk subfolders or BPM folders anymore.

❌ Ignore the _MACOSX folder — macOS generates that automatically.

All you need is the main Loudstakk folder that contains the actual MIDI files.

2. Open EZdrummer 3

Launch EZdrummer inside your DAW or standalone and go to the:

Grooves tab

This is where all user-installed MIDI appears once linked.

3. Add the Folder Using Linked Folders (Recommended Method)

1. Click Options (top-right of the Grooves tab).

2. Choose User MIDI and Linked Folders.

3. Click Add Linked Folder.

4. Navigate to your folder named:
   Loudstakk ____ MIDI Pack

5. Select that folder (✔️ not the _MACOSX folder).

6. Confirm the selection.

7. Restart EZdrummer if needed.

When EZ3 reloads, your Loudstakk pack will appear automatically under User MIDI.

This method requires zero file copying and works perfectly even if your MIDI is stored on an external drive.
